When I Got Braces
Heeya Bedi

When I got braces
I was sadly making faces

Two days later, they were just fine
Twinkling and gleaming with a bright shine

Friends asked me, how did you get these
In my mouth they seemed like bumble bees

A week later they troubled me like my brother
Only people to comfort me were my father and mother

Few months later I was screaming in pain
I was able to eat nothing but a piece of grain

And then I had to get an extraction done
Believe me away I wanted to run

A year later my teeth were in line
And I thanked this gentle dentist of mine

End of the day we ought to have style
To show off our beautiful smile.

    This is just pure beautiful. You seem to have a knack of poetry. This reminds me of myself when i was your age. You are much better than me. You leave the reader with a positivity in the end. Intelligence in innocence, Proud of you Heeya.
